Casablanca — Arrive Without Rushing the First Day
The journey opens gently in Casablanca. International arrival days are rarely improved by forcing a family into a packed sightseeing schedule, so the first priority is to arrive, settle in and start adjusting to Morocco at a comfortable pace.
Casablanca gives a useful first impression because it is very different from the medinas and smaller towns later in the itinerary. It is a large Atlantic city with a contemporary, working character, so beginning here makes the change toward Essaouira and Marrakech easier to feel.
The current tour page does not publish a fixed arrival-day visit, which is sensible. Any sightseeing should remain secondary to the actual arrival time, luggage, check-in and rest.
Keeping the first day light is also practical for children and teenagers. A delayed flight, tiredness or a slower airport process should not make the family feel that it has already 'missed' part of the tour. The journey begins properly once everyone has had time to settle.
This slower opening also makes Day 2 more useful: instead of seeing Casablanca through the window on the way somewhere else, the family wakes up in the city and can give it a proper day.
The arrival day stays deliberately light so the family can begin the journey according to the real flight schedule rather than a fixed sightseeing deadline.
