Itinerary

Day 1

Imlil and Aroumd — Village Paths Beneath the High Atlas

Imlil and Aroumd — Village Paths Beneath the High Atlas

After Marrakech pickup, travel into the foothills toward Imlil. The road passes cultivated valleys before reaching the mountain village. Meet the local guide and discuss the day’s route; suitable footwear and layers are useful even when the city feels warm.

Walk along village paths in the Imlil–Aroumd area, with pauses to look across terraces and the surrounding slopes. The outing includes uphill and uneven sections and is adapted to conditions. It is not a Toubkal ascent. There is time for lunch at your own expense before leaving the valley.

Continue toward the stony hills of Agafay for the included camel ride. This stop offers a different landscape from the mountain villages; it does not visit the Sahara dunes. Return with the group to Marrakech. Allow roughly eight to nine hours, with timing affected by pickups, traffic and weather.

Meals: No meals included. Included: Shared return transport, local mountain guide, Agafay camel ride and scheduled local fees.
